Parklife Travel Passes  -  The Fastest and Easiest Way to Travel to and from Heaton Park 


Parklife Shuttle Bus


Offering great flexibility and the quickest route to the festival, the Parklife Travel Pass allows you to travel on either the direct Parklife Shuttle bus or Metrolink services from Manchester City Centre.
The Parklife Shuttle bus drops off right inside the festival site. Please take care not to lose your travel wristband.
We do not offer replacements if it is lost, and you will have to pay for another ticket.

The Parklife Shuttle Bus high frequency service begins in the City Centre from Aytoun Street (M1 2DD – corner of Minshull St. near Piccadilly train station) and drops off right inside the festival site.

The Parklife Shuttle Buses will be running from :  


Saturday 11th June : 09:30hrs to 17:00hrs

Sunday 12th June : 10:30hrs to 17:00 hrs

Return Bus Service from Heaton Park to City Centre : starts at 18:30 until late.


Please Note: Parklife Travel Pass tickets must be exchanged for a wristband prior to boarding the Parklife Shuttle Bus or Metrolink; e-tickets are not valid for travel.

Wristband Exchange Locations :


Open on 11th & 12th June only.

– Aytoun St (at Parklife Shuttle Bus departure point): 09:30 – 17:00

– Cathedral Gardens (in front of the National Football Museum) near to Victoria train station): 10:00 – 17:00

Metrolink :


To get to Heaton Park from the City Centre using the Metrolink, you will need to board the tram to Bury and get off at the Heaton Park stop. Metrolink operate a regular service throughout the day with each stop having an LED departure board with up to date times.  If you wish to use the Metrolink to get back to the City Centre after 6pm then you will need to go to the Bowker Vale stop. 


Directions to the stop will be signposted by all the customer exits. Heaton Park Metrolink station will close at 18:00 hrs on both event days..

Public Transport :


Heaton Park is very well served by existing public transport. Heaton Park is served by these existing bus routes from around Greater Manchester 135, 59, 64, 484, 495, 164, 165.

Big Green Coach : 


Big Green Coach is the official and exclusive coach partner to Parklife Festival 2016. Choose either Saturday or Sunday Day return coaches or weekend return coaches.


Picking up from 18 locations: Barnsley, Birkenhead, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bradford, Bristol, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, London (Victoria Coach Station), Nottingham, Preston, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington and York.  All coaches are timetabled to arrive in plenty of time before the action begins and depart once the music on stage has finished. 


Don’t worry about being the designated driver, parking or missing the last train. Party hard and sleep all the way home on a Big Green Coach executive coach.

Bicycles : We encourage use of bicycles, there will be a bike rack in the car park so be green and ride to Parklife!


Walking


There is a clear walking route along Bury Old Road which will be sign posted to and from the city centre of Manchester to Parklife which will take you directly to a new entry and exit gate into Parklife. If you wish to walk please follow and stick to the route.


Taxi's


Taxis are also a very popular way of leaving the park; There will be a Manchester Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank in Blackley New Road and a Bury Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road as well as an official private hire pick up point near the car park on Sheepfoot Lane. 

Customers booking their own private hire vehicles need to to direct them to the pick up point at Heaton Park Sainsbury’s.


Cars and Parking
:
 


Official Parklife car parking at Heaton Park is available by advance purchase at £7.50 per day. Car parking at Heaton Park has limited availability so please purchase your parking tickets in advance from Ticket Arena. There is absolutely no on street parking around the event site and there will be a number of roads closed in place around Heaton Park. 

Traffic wardens will be patrolling the area around Heaton Park and your car will be towed and impounded by the wardens. If you are driving to Parklife, please use the official event car park.


In order to facilitate this year’s Parklife event there are a number of roads closed at the end of the event and roads with traffic orders in place around Heaton Park.


If you are being picked up or are picking up a relative or friend, there is a nominated pick up point at Sainsburys Superstore car park off Middleton Road. 

This will be open from 22:00hrs and you can wait here safely to be collected or to collect people.

Travel Pass Terms And Conditions 



Parklife Travel (Saturday one day) :

Your travel to the Festival is sorted with this new combined Parklife Express and Metrolink ticket.

This ticket is valid on both tram and the Parklife Express bus service between Manchester city centre and Heaton Park on Saturday 11th June 2016.



Parklife Travel (Sunday one day) :

Your travel to the Festival is sorted with this new combined Parklife Express and Metrolink ticket.

This ticket is valid on both tram and the Parklife Express bus service between Manchester city centre and Heaton Park on Sunday 12th June 2016.



Parklife Travel (Weekender) :

Your travel to the Festival is sorted with this new combined Parklife Express and Metrolink ticket.

This ticket is valid on both tram and the Parklife Express bus service between Manchester city centre and Heaton Park on both Saturday 11th June 2016 and Sunday 12th June 2016. 


Your travel to the Festival is sorted with this new combined Parklife Express and Metrolink ticket.


Parklife Travel tickets must be exchanged for a travel wristband prior to boarding the Parklife Express bus or Metrolink; e-tickets are not valid for travel. 


Your travel wristband is valid for one return journey between Manchester city centre and Heaton Park on the date(s) specified on your ticket. Weekender tickets are valid on both days.


Tickets and wristbands are not transferable, non-refundable and not valid if defaced. They must be presented to authorised Parklife or Metrolink personnel on request. If you cannot produce, upon request, a valid wristband for your journey on Parklife Express, you will not be allowed to board the service and on Metrolink, you may be liable to pay the £100 standard fare.


The ticket and wristband are issued subject to the Parklife Express bus operator’s Conditions of Carriage and Metrolink Conditions of Carriage (which are available at www.metrolink.co.uk or from Metrolink Customer Services on 0161 2052000).
