Opening Times


General Campsites

The general campsites open at 12pm Wednesday 6th June and close 12pm Monday 11th June.


The Arena

The arena will open at the following times:

Friday – 12.00pm
Saturday – 10.00am
Sunday – 10.00am

*Please note these times are approximate and subject to Health And Safety checks prior to each opening.


Box Office

The onsite box office will be open at the following times:

Wednesday 8am – Midnight

Thursday 8am – Midnight

Friday 8am – Midnight

Saturday 9am – 9pm

Sunday 9am – 9pm


Where is Download? 

Download happens on the sacred site that is Donington Park, next to East Midlands Airport. 

Donington Park lies where the three counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire meet – the ley lines of ROCK! Download has excellent connections by road, rail, bus and plane.

Please note: There will be no Pedestrian access to the Festival from Melbourne Lane

Volunteer

You can gain entrance to this summer’s Download Festival by volunteering with us!

Our volunteers will be playing a big part in creating the amazing atmosphere at Download Festival by helping the festival goers to get the most out of their festival; by joining the team as a volunteer you can help us to continue making Download one of the best festivals in the world!

When volunteering at Download you’ll get entry to the festival, lots of spare time to enjoy the music, make new friends whilst volunteering, gain experience, contacts, and a reference for your CV, get access to staff camping, cafe, toilets and showers, and most importantly have an amazing time you’ll never forget!

Our volunteers get involved with all sorts at Download, including:

  • Providing information including directions, facilities, and performances, to ensure the festival goers have the best weekend possible.
  • Working in the festival’s campsites, arenas, on gates, fire towers, and wristband exchanges.
  • Being proactive and alert to any potential problems e.g. a build-up of litter or faulty facilities.
  • Promoting crime awareness and crime prevention to the public.
  • Helping festival goers carry their belongings and pitch their tents.
  • Working with onsite teams to ensure medical, fire and security issues are dealt with promptly and safely.
  • Helping to prevent overcrowding and on hand to monitor crowd safety.
  • Assisting the public to create an environment where they feel safe.

Age Restrictions / Children's Tickets

Children under 5 (Aged 4 or below) are not permitted at Download 2018. Child Tickets (5-12 years old) can be purchased with at least one adult ticket. Teenagers aged 13-15 years must have an adult ticket. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 years or over.

If you are 16 or over you can attend alone.

We do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18’s on site.


Download 2018 Dates

Download Festival will take place from 8th – 10th June 2018.

5 Night Camping and 5 Night Quiet Camping Tickets give you access to campsites from 12pm on Wednesday 6th June until 12pm on Monday 11th June 2018 and access to the Arena on all show days.

3 Night Camping and 3 Night Quiet Camping Tickets give you access to campsites from 10am on Friday 8th June until 12pm on Monday 11th June 2018 and access to the Arena on all show days.

Weekend Arena Tickets only gives you access to the Arena on all show days (Fri/Sat/Sun).


Valid ID

A valid form of ID may be needed throughout the event.  We have a Challenge 21 Policy on site and the following are accepted as ID on site for the bars and cigarettes:

  • A Passport (Not a photocopy)
  •  Driving Licence
  • A Proof of Age Card bearing a PASS hologram
  • A Ministry of Defence identity card
  • A National identity card issued by an EU member state

There are first aid and welfare tent facilities available throughout the duration of the festival. Please see our help map for locations.
