IMPORTANT SAFETY POINTS
Always ensure you know where your nearest emergency exits are.
Please follow carefully any instructions given to you by a member of staff, particularly in the event of an emergency.
If you see any antisocial or suspicious behaviour, please notify security or a member of staff immediately.
If someone is behaving antisocially towards you, move away from those bothering you and ask event staff for help if needed.
If a crowd surge occurs, move to where there is more space.
Look after yourself and those around you. If you suspect someone is unwell, take them to a first aid tent. If they are unable to get to a first aid tent please notify a member of staff immediately to help you. Please do not attempt to move them or treat them yourself, as you may do more harm than good.
Carry your money, credit cards, mobile phone etc. with you at all times. Please do not leave your valuables in your tent. If you aren’t willing to carry them with you, leave them at home. Be aware that pickpockets operate in crowded areas, so make sure you carry your valuables securely.
We understand that while having fun your valuables might get lost, which is why we operate a lost-and-found service at Texfest. You can make our job easier by marking your property with your name, postcode, and alternate phone number, so we can contact you more easily.
Tented structures have a set capacity that we cannot exceed, by law. We cannot guarantee your entrance into these areas. If there is a particular artist you wish to see, ensure you get there early to avoid disappointment. If you cannot gain access, we recommend you go to an alternative stage to enjoy a different band.
We have a strictly no crowd surfing policy at Texfest. Crowd-surfing is dangerous to yourself as well as those around you. Should you be caught crowd surfing you risk being rejected from the festival without a refund.
We will have 24-hour field hospital services in operation at the festival, as well as first aid points with fully qualified paramedics, nurses, and ambulance services. Please take note of their location.
There are also welfare staff to help with any non-medical personal issues you may wish to talk to someone about.
If you need any assistance during the festival, DO NOT call 999. Please contact one of our on-site emergency numbers, shown on signs around the festival site. Please add these numbers to your phone on arrival.
Please be aware that festival-goers will be searched on entry to the festival by our professionally trained Security search teams. You may also be searched on entry to the Arena.
Drugs and ‘legal’/psychoactive substance are strictly prohibited. Should you bring either then you risk being rejected from the festival without a refund. While not illegal, legal-highs are not tested on humans and can be toxic – even plant-based ones.
The use of nitrous oxide canisters is banned across the festival. If found using or selling them, you will be evicted from the site immediately.
Our medical facilities include trained drug advisors who would be happy to help should you need someone to talk to at any point during the festival.
Texfest operates the Challenge 21 policy. If you look under 21 you will be asked for proof of age when buying alcohol – please do not be offended.
Do not buy alcohol for any persons under the age of 18. This is illegal outside of the festival, so please do not do it here.
There are a number of bars serving alcohol and soft drinks during licensed hours.
All of our bars accept cash.
You can find fresh water points in both the campsites and the arena. Please consider the environment and bring a water container with you that you can refill. You can also purchase water at our bars and most catering units.
